There are so many subscription services out there nowadays. There are ones for socks, clothes, toys, food, and more. We even do a subscription services for bows for Little Miss – and they are the cutest bows from Chic Pip Squeak!
My mom recently told me about a subscription called Little Passports. This subscription for kids introduces them to worldwide adventures and learning. Each month they travel with fun characters and explore a new theme like landmarks, oceans, and more. They’ll see the sights of different countries, learn about what makes those locations and their people unique, and find a little something fun to play with, all tailor-made to their age group.
For kids 3-5 years old, they have the Early Explorers kit. Introduce your preschooler to basic themes from around the world such as oceans, sports and games, and transportation. They’ll see examples of the theme used around the world as they travel with Max, Mia, and Toby the dog. Each month they’ll receive souvenirs, activities, and information to help them explore their world.
For kids 6-10 years old, there is the World Edition kit. With Sam and Sofia, your child will visit a different country every month, collecting souvenirs and activities unique to each country that they can keep in their Little Passports suitcase. This is their most popular subscription and a great way to introduce a variety of cultures.
Kids ages 7-12 will enjoy the USA Edition subscription where they get to learn about two new states every month. With this subscription, on the first month they’ll receive a field guide and cool scratch-as-you-go book. This is a great way to introduce different states and a way to include them on travel ideas as they get older. I love the idea of including them in travel plans, knowing they’ll have information and sights about each state that will interest them.
This past month, Little Mister received his first month of the Early Explorers kit. He was so excited to receive mail. He ran out to the porch, grabbed the little white box addressed to him, and immediately started trying to get into it.
Once open, he pulled out his very own Little Passports orange suitcase and opened it up. Inside as a world map, letter from Max and Mia, suitcase and passport stickers, and passport activity book, flashlight landmark activity, and luggage tag.
Little Mister and Little Miss immediately started trying out the flashlight adventures activity and placing their stickers on the suitcase and world map. Each landmark they found with the flashlight adventure, I had to opportunity to explain where the landmark was located and they could find it on their world map. Even when we packed away the suitcase, they were still trying to get back into it for the rest of the night.
There is something incredibly refreshing about having a toy that they can explore, teaches them about their world, and engages them even when it is no longer “new”. In the coming months they’ll receive activities about oceans, food, and space. They’ll get to add items to their suitcase that they can continue to revisit.
