Every year I struggle trying to come up with stocking stuffer ideas. The big gifts, that’s fairly easy – especially once they are old enough to tell me what they want or have really enjoyed playing with a particular toy at their friend’s house. But stocking stuffers? What do I get a child that is small enough for their stocking and yet will still excite them when they pull it out?
So here is a list of my 10 favorite stocking stuffers for babies!

Hand Teethers
Little Miss is intent on sucking on her hand. I’ve had her put my hand in her mouth and boy, those teeth are sharp!
I don’t know how she does it to her own hand, but she is constantly chewing and sucking on her own hands, as many babies do. To protect her little hands, there are these adorable mittens that have a food-grade silicone portion on the fingers with teething nubs to help relieve pain.
Munch Mitt was the original brand, but there are several on the market now with cute patterns and eye catching colors that make the mitten appealing to babies. The best part is that the majority that I’ve seen are machine washable!
Puffs, Yogis, and Teether Snacks
These are seriously my go-to snacks. Happy Baby brand makes tasty puffs, yogis, and teether snacks that are perfect for little hands and babies who are just starting to eat. The puffs come in flavor combinations, such as sweet potato and carrot or strawberry and beet, and are packaged in canisters, providing quite a bit for your money. If your little has allergies, the yogis are gluten free and the creamies are dairy and gluten free! These freeze-dried yogurt and coconut milk snacks are fruity flavors with a veggie thrown in. Strawberry, raspberry, and carrot is one of our family’s favorites.
I love how these snacks will melt away in my little’s mouth, unlike Cheerios or other teething snacks. Sometimes I will pack just a couple of the sweet potato and banana teethers in my bag for when I’m out and about. A canister of the puffs would fit perfectly in a stocking!
Indestructible Books
The indestructible books are AMAZING! We have a couple and Little Miss just goes to town on them! Baby can chew on them, try to rip them, crinkle them, and they will still stay intact. You can even throw them in the dishwasher and they will come out ready for another round with baby!
Bright pictures and minimal, if any, text is printed on lightweight, nontoxic paper material, making it completely safe for baby. It is so lightweight, I like to keep one in my diaper bag for when we are out and about. We have Mama and Baby and Love You, Baby, but they even have a Christmas themed Jingle Baby that would be perfect for your baby’s stocking.
Board Books
I’m a big believer that you can never have too many books. We have cabinets and shelves stuffed full of books. It is actually a tradition, started by my mom, that one gift is a Christmas book every year. Our collection is over 30 Christmas-themed books at this point, but there is always room for more.
If Christmas books aren’t what you are looking to add, check out the That’s Not My… book series by Usborne Books. From meerkats and penguins to princesses and angels, there are at least 50 titles in this series to choose from, so you can really pick one that is based on an animal or character that your child will love. These touchy-feely books provide stimulation for developing baby brains and encourage a love of books.
Baby Paper
When I worked in a baby boutique, we sold Baby Paper and it was addicting. It is a crinkly paper covered by a soft fabric in cute, appealing patterns. It is small, only 6 by 6 inches, making it perfect for little hands and an easy thing to carry in your diaper bag. Little Miss loves to play with hers, bunching it up in her hands or crunching and chewing on a corner. Best is that it’s machine washable! This is a super easy stocking stuffer, and your baby will play with it for hours.
Rattles
An age-old toy that provides tons of entertainment. There are a million rattles on the market – everything from the traditional rattle with a sphere on each end, to rattles with a hand hold, to rattles that look like animals or tools. I’m currently really in love with the brand Sigikid. They have adorable rattles representing all different kinds of animals, but they also have vibrating toys, such as a vibrating guitar, and activity balls. Their packaging is sustainably made and the toys are cute!
Banana Toothbrush
We bought one of these toothbrushes for Little Mister when he was a baby and Little Miss has absolutely loved it since she discovered it a few weeks ago. It is easy to hold with two handles as well as little massaging nubbins to help ease teething pain. Made of silicone, it’s easy to wash in the dishwasher as well as freezer safe. There are several different colors now including a corn toothbrush as well as a shark and octopus version.
Handkerchiefs/Neck Scarfs
Little Mister and Little Miss weren’t and aren’t huge droolers thanks to their amber necklaces, but there are some onesies, made out of bamboo, where just a little bit of drool ends up making the whole shirt drenched! Because of this, we always keep a couple of stylish handkerchiefs for Little Miss to wear. Some, such as the Neckerchew, even have a silicone piece at the point that baby can chew on while teething.
I really love the cute patterns on all the different handkerchiefs, but if you want to try something fairly new on the market, check out the Bazzle Baby Bando Bib. These infinity scarves keep baby’s skin clean and dry while catching drool and staying stylish.
Pacifier Clips and Holders
If your baby takes a pacifier, then pacifier clips and holders can be incredibly helpful in keeping track of your little one’s pacifier. Little Mister took a pacifier when he was an infant, and we kept at least three pacifier clips in any given place, just to make sure we always had one. At one point, we even connected a teether to a pacifier clip and clipped it to our carrier strap so that he would have it while being worn.
WubbaNub is a popular pacifier holder brand with the cute animals and popular soothie pacifier, but I recommend you check out Nissi & Jireh 5 in 1 Pacifier Holder. Not only is this a cute animal, similar to the WubbaNub, but what I really love about it is that it can be used by a variety of types of pacifiers. And the pacifier can be removed so that the stuffed animal part can be washed. Also a plus to these cute pacifier holders is that it comes with a pacifier clip and a Velcro pocket for storage! Perfect for keeping track of the pacifier while on the go.
Sensory Balls
Sensory balls are easy little toys to pull out for baby to play with. They come in a variety of shapes and textures. They are easy for little hands to grab and the bright colors are appealing. Grab a set to add to your toy stash and help develop your little one’s tactile senses.
